US POKER

US player poker sites are alive and well! Luckily there are still some poker sites out there that have not succumbed to the ridiculous ban imposed by Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of October 13th 2006 .

Please note that if you live in the following states, you may still be blocked from the sites that are still accepting US players:  Illinois , Indiana ,  Louisiana , Michigan , Nevada , New Jersey , New York , Oregon , South Dakota , Washington and Wisconsin .

Poker Share and Royal Vegas Poker are US player poker sites but they are refusing players from these 11 states, other sites may be the same.

Here are the current US-friendly poker sites, if you know of any more PLEASE let me know so I can update this page.

UPDATE: As of January 2007, Neteller has decided to stop allowing poker players from US to use their service. This is a setback but there are more payment services available and Neteller's action is not likely to have any significant impact on the industry.

Ultimatebet

Making a very strong claim for the number one poker site position in the light of the US player ban.

Ultimatebet is a great site for ALL players, featuring the amazing $200,000 guaranteed tournament that you can buy into for just $5.50!

What more could you ask for!

Absolute Poker

Still 100% behind the US players, Absolute Poker continues it's rise towards the top of the poker sites.

Payment options are the same as Ultimatebet: Visa or MasterCard as well as Western Union , Click2Pay, ePassporte, InstaDebit, ATMonline, Moneybookers and Central Coin.

Full Tilt Poker

Full Tilt Poker is one of the big name poker sites which has vowed to fight the online poker ban. Here is a quote from their policy on the new legislation:

"While this new law has prompted some sites to announce plans to abandon the U.S. market in coming days, we assure you that Full Tilt Poker will continue to provide all of its players - both inside and outside of the United States - with a full complement of real money ring games and tournaments for their enjoyment."

We will continue to provide our players with all of the safe, secure and convenient methods for transferring money to and from the site. In fact, in recent discussions with our payment processors, we have been assured that this new law will have no immediate impact on their day-to-day business. And as always, any monies that you have on deposit with Full Tilt Poker remain completely safe and secure.

Vegas Poker 247

You might not be all that familiar with Vegas Poker 247, but the good news is that they are still US-friendly. US poker players can continue to play here and enjoy all the benefits of a new site that is VERY keen to get some of your business!

This is what Vegas Poker 247 say:

"VegasPoker247 is pleased to assure poker players around the world that they will continue to be welcome to play on our site. VegasPoker247 is completely confident that we will be able to continue offering our US customers the very best, safest and most secure online poker experience available on the internet, including the fastest deposit and payout solutions. All new and existing VegasPoker247.com customers should feel 100% confident when playing at our tables."

Superior Poker is one of the smaller poker rooms which have stayed loyal to US poker players. They have some regular poker freerolls on the site as well as some specials running.

Until April 1st you can qualify for the WPT in Las Vegas for only $0.10! Details of the prize package are: Buy-in to the WPT World Championship - a $25,000 + $500 value + Airfare for you and a partner + accommodation at the Bellagio Hotel in Vegas. They even throw in the use of a Dodge Viper for your stay!
